Prequel Planning

The shots I will use consist of:
  • Pans
  • Extreme close ups
  • Medium close ups
  • Wide and Long Shots
I have decided my prequel will be based around two characters played by the same actors as my previous prequel but the plot will be different. This plot focuses on one character in a room, the tension coming from his reaction to the unknown person at the door, creating the narrative.

My research into the thriller SE7EN (Directed by David Fincher, 1995) offered an insight into the way close ups on certain objects can add mystery so I will use this technique as a way of developing my prequel.

I will also similarly use a method used in Casino Royale (Directed by Martin Campbell, 2006) of keeping the antagonists identity hidden so as to develop the tension as this will lead to questions regarding the character.

First Draft Review

I've found the first draft I did a big learning curve. I recieved feedback and felt that the plot wasn't clear enough. I've decided to restart my idea and will re plan and re film my prequel using my previous research.
